and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceRegistration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Up to two (2) years recent, related experience depending on clinical setting.Specialty unit nurse positions also require area specific specialty certification for the unit.Heart Health nurse positions also require demonstrated ability in arrhythmia interpretation as evidenced by a mark of 75% on the VIHA ECG Challenge exam.Skills And AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Demonstrated ability to organize assigned workload and set priorities.Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts, including co-workers, physicians, community agency representatives, patients, residents and families.Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
