1.0 FTE Grade 7/8 Math/Science and Explorations Teacher

Eagle River Secondary

This is a temporary assignment effective November 9, 2026 to June 30, 2027 or to return of teacher to full contractual whichever comes first.

This assignment consists of teaching Core Grade 7/8 Math/Science, PE 9-12, Leadership and Careers 8 and an elective to be determined.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Arts or Education (Secondary emphasis preferred);
- Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch.

Teachers Applying Should Possess The Following Attributes

- academic credentials and/or experience in teaching grade 7/8;
- a working knowledge of the current curriculum for grade 7/8;
- demonstrated successful experience teaching at the Middle/Secondary level;
- commitment to fostering a collaborative and cooperative working environment;




- committed to stimulating student interest and confidence in learning;
- evidence of ability to motivate secondary students;
- demonstrated use of a variety of instructional and assessment strategies;
- excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment with other staff members;
- commitment to involving parents in the learning of their children.
