As a member of the inter-professional collaborative team, the Personal Support Worker (PSW) provides direct quality and protected personal care in accordance with patient’s respective care plans, under the direction and supervision of regulated healthcare providers.

Personal Support

Worker certificate from an accredited Ontario Community College or a Registered Private College Ability to assist patients with ADLs such as personal care, toileting, feeding and recreational activities Ability to assist patients with transfers and ambulation Working knowledge of or the ability to quickly comprehend the Meditech Information System Flexible and able to adapt readily to a rapidly changing setting Recent hospital experience preferred Enrolment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) Extended Health/Semi Private and Dental Benefits (for Part-time and Full-time only)
