SPC and QS systemsMajor AccountabilitiesSupervise toolmakers and apprenticesPlan and schedule all tool room jobs as per timeline.Control all heat treated components from outside suppliers.Schedule ordering of tooling components and suppliesAssist Tool Room Manager in product scheduling.Assist Lead hands in troubleshooting die build problems.Plan tool room equipment maintenance.Assist in quoting, design, troubleshooting and development as required.Staff and evaluate tool room employees.Resolve issues with other managers such as press time, sign off, shared equipment etc.Maintain CAD files and system as per company's standards.Liaise with Production, Engineering & New Build Departments.Create CNC surface files, when required.Perform duties of Tool Room Manager in his/her absence.Record daily job numbers and hours on punch card.Other duties as required or directed in order to accommodate the customer.Must be able to speak, read and write EnglishMust have five (5) years of automotive experienceMust have reliable transportationMust be able to lift up to 60 lbsCommunity college diploma and minimum 5 (five) years jobbing shop experience in automotive.Tool and Die Certificate.Operate all tool room equipment.CAD/CAM KnowledgeGood understanding of International Standards Organization (ISO) and Quality Standards (QS) system.Geometric dimensioning and tolerance skillsKnowledge of computers and software including excel, and word.Statistical Process Control (SPC)
