Standard Bus Yukon is currently seeking a Safety and Training Officer for the Whitehorse area. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess superior leadership skills in the training and development of our qualified drivers. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate with tact and diplomacy in confidential matters. A high attention to detail, exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, and a focus on the continuous improvement of safe driving skills and customer service are key to success in this role.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:SafetyPrepare and perform monthly Safety Meetings plus book guest speakersIncident investigations, file management, and reportingAssist with the development of the company's safety culture and programBuild relationships to proactively improve safety resultsMonitor operations to ensure staff comply with safety rules, policies, procedures, and government regulationsFamiliarize prospective employees with SBC Yukon policiesCRC (Collision Review Committee)
