Job DescriptionLocation: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)Duration: 4.5 months | Possibility of extension & conversion to FTEOur client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Net Developer – GitHub Copilot, React, Typescript to work with an existing .NET application and an existing SSMS database. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.Hourly compensation range: 60-71/hrTypical Day in Role- Full Stack Development – Back‑end tech stack: .NET MVC + C#; Backend services & RESTAPIs- SQL Server; Front‑end tech stack: React, TypeScript / JavaScript / HTML / CSS, UI + UX principles; Cross‑cutting skills: AI‑assisted development (Copilot in IDEs), Prompt engineering + AI code validation- Develop and maintain efficient SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data, while optimizing performance through indexing and execution plan analysis.- Use AI to expedite delivery timelines while still maintaining the quality and efficiency of code.- Develop or update existing extracts efficiently and logically.- Collaborate closely with business analysts, QA teams, and fellow developers to deliver features, while actively participating in daily stand‑ups to share progress and align on priorities.- Deploy applications across Windows environments, either manually or through automated deployment pipelines, ensuring successful configuration and integration in each environment.- Follow established coding standards and best practices for maintainability, security,



and performance.Must‑Have Skills- 8–10 years of relevant experience- Solid experience developing backend applications using .NET MVC, C#, and RESTful APIs- Experience leveraging AI coding assistants (e.G., GitHub Copilot) within modern IDEs, including prompt writing and the ability to review and refine AI‑generated code for quality, performance, and security- Proficiency in building responsive, user‑friendly web interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with strong UI/UX understanding- Experience writing and optimizing SQL Server queries, troubleshooting issues, and performing data analysisNice‑To‑Have Skills- Experience with version control systems (Git, TFVC) and CI/CD practices- Previous experience in banking or financial services, specifically with the client Scotiabank- Experience with UI design tools (e.G., Figma) and UI design experienceSoft Skills Required- Excellent Communication- Ability to learn independently- Pleasant & Collaborative- Can‑do Attitude- Interest in learning and utilizing AI to assist with work tasksEducation- Post‑secondary education in Computer Science, or a related field.FP Inc. is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and clients feel like they belong.
