Role Description The Assistant role is a full time, in office position located in Fergus, ON. This role supports daily store operations, including assisting customers on the sales floor, answering product and service questions, and directing individuals to appropriate pharmacy or store team members when needed.

Responsibilities may include stocking shelves, organizing inventory, maintaining clean and safe store areas, and helping with merchandising and promotional displays. The Assistant may also support basic administrative tasks, such as handling transactions at the front cash, processing returns, and assisting with store opening and closing procedures.



The role requires consistent, reliable attendance, adherence to company policies, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

- Customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional demeanor with diverse customers.
- Basic retail and cash-handling abilities, such as operating point-of-sale systems, managing transactions, and accurately handling cash and cards.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage inventory support, and maintain a tidy, safe work environment.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills, including the ability to work closely with pharmacy staff, supervisors, and colleagues to support store operations.
- Attention to detail and reliability, with a focus on following procedures, complying with health and safety standards, and meeting shift commitments.
- High school diploma or equivalent education; previous experience in retail, customer service, or pharmacy support is considered an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move products as required, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
