This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with Ontario legislation, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting a safe working environment across both office and manufacturing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety Program SupportSupport the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Promation's health and safety policies, procedures, and programsEnsure alignment with Ontario health and safety legislation and regulatory requirementsAssist in maintaining an audit-ready and defensible safety management systemCompliance & ReportingCoordinate incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activitiesMaintain accurate health and safety records, documentation, and reporting metricsSupport internal audits, workplace inspections, and compliance reviewsCoordinate and track employee safety training, including WHMIS, PPE, equipment safety, and other mandatory programsSupport the rollout of new policies, procedures, and safety initiativesPromote a strong safety culture through employee communication, engagement, and awareness activitiesWorkplace Inspections & Hazard ControlFacilitate regular workplace inspections across office, manufacturing, assembly,



and shop floor environmentsIdentify hazards and support the implementation of corrective and preventative actionsAssist with risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and ergonomic assessmentsCross-Functional SupportPartner with Human Resources, Operations, and leadership teams to integrate safety into daily operationsSupport Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) activities, documentation, and meeting requirementsAssist with WSIB claims administration and return-to-work coordination as requiredRequired QualificationsPost-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources, or a related field2-4 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, automation, or engineering environmentStrong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and applicable regulationsExperience conducting workplace inspections, incident investigations, and hazard assessmentsStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departmentsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000 CADWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation and benefits packageRetirement Savings Plan and Deferred Profit-Sharing PlanOpportunities for skilled growth and developmentCollaborative and supportive team environmentExposure to innovative automation, nuclear, and industrial projectsThis job posting is for an active, existing vacancy within our organization.
