This role is essential to maintaining productivity, site safety, and quality workmanship across our projects. We are recruiting for this position with an estimated project start date of mid-September 2026.What You'll Be DoingOperate dozers safely and efficiently to support earthworks, grading, backfilling, and site preparation activitiesWork collaboratively with other operators, supervisors, and ground crews to ensure project objectives are metMaintain a high level of situational awareness in active, fast-paced construction environmentsInterpret verbal and non-verbal communication, including hand signals, from operators, spotters, and ground personnelConduct daily equipment inspections, complete logbooks, and perform minor maintenance, lubrication, and housekeeping within your skillsetComplete daily track cleaning at the end of each shiftIdentify existing and potential hazards by completing field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs) and participating in pre-job hazard analysisOperate equipment with constant awareness of surroundings, personnel, and underground/overhead hazardsEnsure daily completion and submission of FLHAs and timecardsFollow all MacKay safety policies,



procedures, and best practicesBe willing to work flexible hours and shifts based on project needsPerform additional duties as assignedWhat You BringExperience operating a Dozer in civil construction or equivalent environmentsKnowledge of construction layout, grades, and site preparationExperience working around underground utilities is considered an assetAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong communication skills and the ability to take and follow instructions safelyValid government-issued photo identificationA valid, clean Driver's AbstractWhy MacKay?At MacKay, we believe outstanding operators build great projects.
