Master's Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education required New York State Certification in Special Education required Must have one (1) year early childhood related experience, planning Individual Education Plans (I.E.P.) Recent York State Students with Disabilities Birth-2, Early Childhood Birth-2 required Special Education-Permanent Certification and Nursery K, 1-6 Permanent Certification accepted Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Evaluate and provide appropriate special education services to assigned children. Oversee activities of assigned teacher assistants and aides; communicate appropriately and in a timely manner with families. Ongoing professional development in areas relevant to children enrolled in program.
