Position Summary

Acting as the primary account representative for assigned accounts, the Logistics & Brokerage Representative I is primarily responsible for providing brokerage and logistics services to clients

Key Responsibilities (Supervisory/Materials/Information)

- Provide approval to ship freight; track and trace shipments
- Prepare Customs Release documentation
- Analyze documentation to determine appropriate tariff classification, duty and tax rate
- Prepare import and export documents
- Primary account representative
- Resolves client inquiries, including tracking and tracing shipments, billing problems, etc.
- Completes weekly billing in adherence to client contract and approves invoices for payment
- Maintains files, photocopies, fax and other duties assigned

Education and Experience

- High School diploma
- Minimum of one year of brokerage experience
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation preferred

- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent and accurate data entry skills

- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to focus on computer screen and / or written material for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Must work under deadlines and related stresses in a timely and effective manner
- Must be able to professionally handle various personnel and other situations as they arise
- May need to work the occasional Statutory Holiday or overtime, as needed
