We are partnering with a well-established commercial property management firm to identify a Property Accountant to support a portfolio of industrial and commercial assets. This role is ideal for someone with ~2+ years of property accounting experience who is looking to grow within commercial real estate.The RoleReporting to senior accounting and property management leaders, the Property Accountant will manage full-cycle accounting for assigned properties and act as the key accounting contact for internal stakeholders. You'll provide accurate financial reporting and support budgeting, forecasting, and recoveries.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare month-end financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analysisProcess management fees, rent rolls, tenant billings, and recoveries (CAM & taxes)Prepare tax filings and remittances (GST/PST,



non-resident tax)Support cash flow reporting, distributions, budgets, and forecastsReview AR/AP, assist with tenant inquiries, and ensure accurate codingMaintain lease data and recovery matrices within property management systemsPrepare year-end working papers and liaise with auditorsAssist with current property setup, dispositions, and special projects as neededQualificationsDegree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related fieldMinimum 2 years of property management accounting experienceCPA designation or progress toward CPA considered an assetExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and recoveriesStrong Excel and general MS Office skills
