Agilus is recruiting for a Sr IT Project Manager in the Insurance Domain in a hybrid work environment in Toronto, Ontario. The Project Manager will provide and apply high quality project management methodologies and techniques to manage a wide range of projects including higher complexity and size at the program and/or project level.ResponsibilitiesPlan, manage and successfully oversee the implementation of multiple complex and highly visible projects in parallel.Manage project teams and stakeholders to ensure project completion is on time, on budget and within scope, including development and management of detailed plans, work breakdown structures, schedules, and budgets.Conduct post-project reviews to certify that project success criteria have been met.Identify and assess risks, severity, and impacts; determine and implementrisk strategies and communicate risks to client and stakeholders as appropriate.Closely monitor project financials, follow up on issues, and provide regular status updates to management and stakeholders.Monitor implementation efforts and transition issues to ensure that business risks are identified and solutions are recommended.Lead and manage project teams to effectively utilize strengths of team members.Manage stakeholder expectations, understanding their points of view and needs while keeping strategic goals in mind and fostering a win-win relationship.Leverage knowledge of business by applying rapidly changing technology and business process delivery trends.Apply influence and negotiation to gain support and achieve consensus.Build relationships with various stakeholders to manage and mitigate risks for the organization.Understand the business need for the assigned project and make ongoing recommendations or suggestions; inform stakeholders on critical success factors with emphasis on what is best for the organization.Coach other project managers with respect to PMO methodology and project-specific challenges.Contribute to the advancement of project management practices and application of project management principles.QualificationsMinimum 5-10 years of experience in a Project Management role with a significant track record of successfully delivering various complex business and IT projects.PMP certified, Agile/Scrum certified, or related experience.Strong IT infrastructure and/or application development project experience.Experience implementing Life Insurance projects, products and IT systems, with awareness of Life Insurance industry knowledge and systems features including New Business and In-Force administration.Robust understanding of IT environments and technologies.Experience with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.Well versed in project management methodology with proven ability to lead projects and guide project requirements, identify technology issues and risks, and direct investigation and analysis of technical alternatives.Ability to assess priority and severity of issues by understanding business objectives, technical costs, and user needs, and weighing alternatives for resolution.Ability to work in a team environment.Proven ability to influence, lead and obtain agreement from cross-functional teams.Understanding and managing to the critical path of the project.Day-to-day leadership focus on proper execution of actions necessary for delivery of projects on time and on budget.Excellent ability to multitask, respond to changing needs and schedules, and organize and prioritize workload.Proven ability to manage finance issues, budgeting and cost-benefit analysis.Excellent planning and organization skills.Soft SkillsStrong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of staff from CEO, SVP’s and VP’s to managers and other staff.Sound judgment and decision-making skills to act effectively in resolving issues as they arise.Excellent communication skills, including strong presentation, facilitation skills (verbal and written).Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, conflict and negotiation skills.Compensation$75,000.00 – $125,000.00 annually.#J-18808-Ljbffr
