Framing, Decks, Drywall and General Renovation – Contract, Part-Time (room to grow)

Elite Smart Homes is a growing smart home and renovation company delivering high-end residential projects across Toronto. We're adding a skilled, hands-on handyman / carpenter to our small team on a contract basis.

Starting at 3 to 4 days a week, with the opportunity to grow to full time as our project load builds.

No smart home experience? No problem. We'll train you. You'll always work alongside experienced team members who are there to show, coach and support you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Carpentry and Building (Primary Focus)

Deck building and repairs

Framing: walls, bulkheads, blocking and backing

Drywall installation, taping and repairs

Baseboard and trim installation: clean cuts, tight joints, professional results

Doors, hardware, vanity and shelving installation and assembly

Painting and Finishing

Painting and touch-ups: walls, trim and full-room finishes

Caulking and sealing around doors, windows, trim and transitions

Prep work: patching, sanding, priming and masking

General Site Work

Assisting with smart home installs (TV mounting, cable management, device rough-in)

Site prep, floor protection and end-of-day cleanup

Keeping a clean, organized work area all day. We work mostly in occupied, finished homes and hold ourselves to a high standard





Additional tasks as needed to complete projects

REQUIREMENTS

At least 2 years of hands-on experience in framing, decks, drywall or general renovation

Some painting experience is a strong asset

Solid attention to detail and real pride in the quality of your work

Own basic hand tools and your own cordless drill / impact driver (larger power tools and specialty tools are provided)

Own vehicle and reliable transportation to get to job sites independently, with room to carry your tools

Comfortable working in occupied, finished homes: professional, tidy and respectful at all times

Able to take direction, follow a task schedule and work as part of a small team

WHAT WE OFFER

$25/hr, contract

3 to 4 days a week to start, with a path to full time
