Our passion for our craft fuels every project we touch.JOB OVERVIEWThe Project Estimating Analyst provides maintenance data and estimating support to the Business Development & Maintenance group. The Project Estimating Analyst is responsible for reviewing customer requirements, historical maintenance data, work scope assumptions, labour estimates, material considerations and project inputs to develop accurate preliminary estimates. The role also supports on-going analysis of estimate versus actual performance to improve future bids, projectspan time planning,and maintenance execution forecasting.This is a new position that requires a proactive self-starter who can help develop the role, build estimating practices, and maintain a keen interest in learning about aviation and aircraft maintenance operations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReview work scope document to establish the basis for the initial project estimatesUses historical maintenance data to develop preliminary cost and span time estimatesWork with data teams to integrate AI models into existing software and decision workflowsCoordinates with the MRO Estimator-Planner to validate estimate inputsProject Planning Analysis & ReportingProvides data analysis & reporting to support customer maintenance projectsProvides support to project planning activities and processesProvides post-project analysis & reports to support continuous improvement initiativesGeneral Data Analysis & ReportingPerformance analysis & reporting of maintenance inspection data to support quoting & planningAnalysis & reporting of materials usage, tooling and equipment in support of other KF departmentsData accuracy analysis and correctionData file updating as requiredCompiles standard and non-standard reports for KF and CustomersDocumentation & AdministrationEnsures documentation is completed accuratelyEnsures accurate records of work and filing for future referenceProvide support and assistance to other departmental activities where previous data analysis & investigation is a key element to the future successful management of a maintenance or modification packageOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSExperience in an analyst role, data management role or similar experienceIntermediate to advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, specifically ExcelFamiliar with digital business application tools such as Power BI, QlickSense, Document management, MS Visio, MS Project and MS Office Suite.Demonstrated use of integrated business ERP, electronic data management, and data base systemsHands-on experience building practical AI and machine learning solutionsProactive problem solving and advanced trouble shooting skillsProven verbal and written communication skillsStrong planning and organizational skillsStrong attention to detailAble to work productively in a rapid-paced high-pressure, deadline driven environmentCan work independently as well as in a team environmentExperience in Aviation is an assetBENEFITSFull-Time staff benefits include (but are not limited to):Health and DentalShort & Long-Term DisabilityLife InsuranceHealth Spending AccountPersonal (Wellness) Spending AccountPaid vacation and Personal time offPension matching plan and voluntary RRSPEmployee & Family Assistance ProgramA bonus program based on organizational performanceSALARYThe wage band is level 7, $63,400 - $79,200.
