Become an integral part of the Claims Department as a Fire Investigator at Intact. This full-time role combines scientific investigation and reporting for loss assessments in a hybrid work workplace.
Intact is on the lookout for a skilled Fire Investigator to bolster their claims handling team. In this role, you will investigate the causes of fire damage, collaborate with policyholders, and produce detailed reports based on your findings. Your expertise will also support the claims process and, occasionally, require court testimony to present your findings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete investigations for adjusters and appraisers
• Assess loss sites to determine cause of fires
• Document incident scenes and provide opinions




• Analyze specimens related to claims
• Manage storage of evidence associated with investigations
Requirements:
• Over 10 years of fire investigation experience
• Technical diploma or equivalent education/experience
• Strong knowledge of fire propagation and construction
• Able to obtain CFI, CFEI, CFVI, or WETT certification
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
