Responsibilities





The role covers the entire service lifecycle, from early design through ongoing operation. You'll own both the engineering and the operational side of large-scale distributed systems, and you'll be expected to lead projects as well as write code.

- Engage across the full lifecycle of services, from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement
- Support pre-launch readiness through system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews
- Measure and monitor availability, latency, and overall system health for live services
- Scale systems sustainably through automation and by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
- Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems
- Provide technical leadership and lead projects within the Site Reliability Development team
