They are known for a strong safety culture, high quality standards, and a genuine commitment to developing their people.The OpportunityThis is a senior field leadership role responsible for the electrical scope on a large infrastructure project. You will take ownership of project delivery from planning through to closeout, lead site teams and crews, and play a key role in the overall success, safety and profitability of the project. Our client is open to candidates at either the Project Manager or Superintendent level.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the electrical scope of work on a large infrastructure projectBuild and lead a high-performing project team including superintendents, forepersons, coordinators and electrical crewsManage project schedules, cost codes and budgets, and be accountable for meeting or beating targetsReview estimates and identify opportunities to improve project marginsGenerate and review RFIs, manage change orders and price extra workServe as the key point of contact for electrical submittals and ensure contract complianceOversee the equipment control log and review O&M manualsAttend factory acceptance tests (FATs) and ensure equipment deficiencies are resolved prior to shipmentReview contract documents against quotations and bills of materials to identify scope gapsManage relationships with owners, engineers, consultants, subcontractors,



suppliers and vendorsAdminister the terms of the collective agreement and lead a unionized workforcePrepare and approve timesheets, provide performance feedback, and coach team membersEnsure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and the Occupational Health and Safety ActSupport commissioning, quality control, substantial completion, closeout and warranty processesDocument lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across projectsWhat You Bring309 A Construction and Maintenance Electrician certification (required)5+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Electrical Superintendent on heavy, industrial or civil construction projectsHands-on experience with high voltage installation (required)Experience on water or wastewater treatment plant projects is a strong assetExperience working on unionized sites and administering collective agreementsSolid understanding of mechanical and civil trades in addition to electricalExperience with commissioning, automation and project closeout is an assetStrong knowledge of scheduling, cost control, planning and reading engineering drawingsConstruction-related degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experiencePMP or other project management certification is an assetValid WHMIS, Elevated Work Platform and Fall Arrest certificatesStrong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem‑solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and construction management toolsWhat's On OfferBase salary of $130,000 to $150,000, plus annual increases and discretionary bonusCompany truck and fuel card, or a $900 monthly vehicle allowance plus fuel cardComprehensive advantages effective from day oneCompany-matched pension plan and voluntary RSPEmployee ownership programFurnished accommodation near the project site for non-local candidatesStructured schedule with a half-day FridayOngoing learning and development opportunities#J-18808-Ljbffr
