White Cross Dispensary – Ottawa, ON

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused individual to join our pharmacy retail team as a Part-Time Customer Service Associate / Cashier.

This position offers a consistent weekly schedule and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and is looking for stable part-time employment.

Required Work Schedule:

- Thursday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Applicants must be available to work ALL THREE shifts every week. These are the specific shifts we are hiring to fill.

Our work schedules are posted four months in advance, allowing employees to plan ahead.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with purchases and inquiries.
- Accurately process cash, debit, and credit transactions using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle customer returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional checkout area.
- Restock shelves, maintain retail displays, and assist with merchandising.
- Respond to customer inquiries or refer them to appropriate pharmacy staff when needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform management of low-stock items.
- Follow all privacy, safety, security, and operational procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications




- Minimum one year of previous customer service or cashier experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced retail environment.
- A friendly, professional, and customer-first attitude.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to scheduled shifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous pharmacy or retail experience is an asset.
