About The OpportunityOur client is a law firm located in downtown Ottawa. They are looking for an experienced Legal/Executive Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.About The OpportunityDuties include but are not limited to:Client contact (telephone and email)File opening, retainers, coordinate with accountingFiling in appropriate corporate drivesReporting, scheduling, and organizingDocumentation - drafting, typing, editing and publicationFile administration - WIP monitoring, billing and monitoring of accounts receivable and payableDaily docketing of work on all files, and ensuring proper recording of all services on all filesMonthly billing and reportingHandle inquiries directed to the lawyer's office, and keep lawyer fully informedAbout YouMinimum of ten (10)
years experience working as a Legal/Executive Assistant in a law firmA Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma is preferredExperience supporting a busy corporate law practice is requiredAny experience with commercial transactions, commercial real estate, and wills/estates would be considered a definite assetAbout the JobSalary will depend on experience but is likely to fall within the $65,000 to $80,000/year range. Perks and free parking will be offered. This position requires daily onsite attendance.Please note that all candidates must be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
