License and Certification Requirements ASN or an equivalent – Required BSN or an equivalent – Highlypreferred RN License for the state or compact if applicable - Required HWC Certification - Preferred BLS Certification from AHA- Required Job Description Provide all aspects ofPsychiatric Nursing care for patients in assigned psych units. Provide care for inpatient adult and adolescent units Provide and coordinate care byassessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs. Develop and implement nursingcare plans. Responsible forassessment, diagnosis, planning andestablishing outcomes, implementation, and evaluation. Accurately and promptlyimplements physicians’ orders. Prepares, administers, andrecords medications in accordance with the policy regarding theadministration of medications. Records information concisely,accurately and completely.
