You will work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-site team of architects, designers and verification engineers and will be responsible for the IP design development and integration within the display sub-system. nReplacement Positionnn nKey responsibilities of this role include:nn Develop module specifications and follow through with design and programming specificationsn Provides technical expertise for next generation initiatives and design automationn Model and analyze performance, area, power, and system cost tradeoffs for different micro-architectures.

Help drive design decisions to optimize design quality of results. n Synthesis, Timing Constraints, Lint, Power Analysis Tasks using industry standard tools (i.e.

Design

Compiler, Genus, Spyglass, etc).n Implement modules and sub-systems in Verilog RTLn Work closely with the design verification team to define verification methodology, review test plans and develop reference and bus-functional modelsn Implement and debug tests at the module, sub-system and SoC levels throughout the ASIC development cycle (pre- and post-silicon)n Develop and update technical documentation on an ongoing basisn Make significant contributions to silicon debug and analysisnnnn nAdditional Preferred Qualifications:nn Ability to work legally in Canadan Strong understanding of basic ASIC/VLSI design conceptsn Some experience with HDL languages such as Verilog or VHDLn Some experience and comfortable working in a Linux environmentn Some experience with scripting languages such as perl, python, tcl, etc.n Detail oriented with strong analytical and debugging skillsn Solid communication skills and works well in a team environmentnnnnMinimum Qualifications:nnu2022 Bacheloru0027s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience. nOR nMasteru0027s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience. nOR nPhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.nnApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
