Responsibilities- Report to the Director of Construction and lead a high‑energy internal team.- Guide consultants, general contractors and vendors through all phases of the Canadian Tire construction process.- Ensure projects meet budgets, schedules, risk analysis, design, safety, quality and other metrics for new builds, expansions, fit‑outs, renovations and capital programs across Mark’s, SportChek and other CTC banners.- Maintain best practices and standards set by the Director of Construction, AVP of Construction and stakeholders.- Oversee all aspects of assigned projects from a Construction Department view to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders including Associate Dealers (store operators).- Manage internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with procedures, project metrics, corporate standards, building codes, health & safety, quality control and contract monitoring.- Collaborate with Store Planning, Real Estate and Development teams for site layout, store designs and municipal approvals.- Prepare cost estimates with the estimating team, forecast contractual services, supplies, equipment and space/phasing requirements.- Develop overall project schedules, set milestone dates and present status updates to management and stakeholders.- Assist in procurement, recommend consultants, engage pre‑qualified contractors, third‑party inspection and engineering firms.- Conduct site visits to review new or ongoing work, schedules, budgets and approval of quality.- Prepare tender packages, evaluate bids, issue letters of award and prepare contracts.- Perform project close‑out activities and resolve warranty items.- Coordinate with municipal staff, property owners, developers, contractors,



consultants, insurance and legal firms on project requirements.- Work with Associate Dealers and store staff to align construction projects with operational needs.Qualifications- Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management or a related field.- At least 5years of project management experience in Retail, Commercial, Industrial or Institutional Construction.- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.- Willingness to travel 2–3days per week and work beyond normal hours when required.- Strong analytical, listening, written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to read, interpret, analyze and forecast project cost reports and determine schedule and cost status from site visits.- Methodical problem‑solving skills and keen attention to detail.- Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, proactive and eager to learn.- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.- Computer proficiency in project‑management software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and scheduling tools.BenefitsCompetitive salary ranging from$79,000to$131,000CAD annually, with a typical hiring range of$80,000to$120,000CAD.
