Our Telecommunications group is currently looking to add an Equipment Operator to our growing team, based in Castor, AB. Reporting to the Project Manager, Telecommunications, we are seeking an experienced operator to support underground FTTP and utility installations across Alberta. Understanding of soil mechanics and work with geotechnical engineers on density testing of soils Complete daily equipment inspection forms Participate in daily work planning schedule meetings Assist ground crew in duties out of equipment when there is no operating work Maintain good housekeeping practices High School Diploma or equivalent ~Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification ~ Must have a valid Class-5 driver’s license and an acceptable drivers abstract ~ Must be adaptable to working varying hours ~ Valard Construction is Canada’s premier utility contractor providing comprehensive EPC+ (engineering, procurement, construction) and maintenance services to utilities, independent power producers, mining,
