Independent established optometric office in Vancouver's west side seeking experienced optician or dispensing optometric assistant to work 3-5 days per week including Saturdays. The right candidate will have a positive and cheerful attitude, excellent command of the English language, excellent telephone manner and customer service, organizational skills, computer skills and an ability to work as part of a team, as well as individually. They are responsible for the day to day operations of the dispensary, including accepting and evaluating written prescription orders from patients or doctors, placing lab orders and inspecting lab orders, repairing and adjusting eyeglass frames as needed.
Ability to edge lenses is an asset but not required.
