This is a very exciting role with the opportunity to learn from the current CFO during a transition period. The successful candidate will report to the President & CEO, and be in charge of the Finance Team, building and managing core areas of the company, including accounting, budgeting, investments, enterprise risk management, and human resources administration.You will also be a key part of the management team supporting the current operations of the company, planning the future, implementing the company’s strategic priorities, and regularly reporting to our Board of Directors.



You will also support regulatory reporting, the year-end audit process, and participate in ongoing projects while ensuring we maintain internal controls and adhere to company policies and procedures.This position offers the potential to grow into a Chief Financial Officer role in future years, and it is a key hire for the company.Qualifications3-5 years of experience in an accounting roleCPA designation or working towards CPA designation is requiredPost‑secondary degree in Accounting or FinanceStrong financial acumen and analytical. Experience with IFRS is an assetStrong computer skills in programs such as Word, PowerPoint and especially ExcelBroad information technology literacy is an assetExcellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsHighly effective interpersonal communication skills; the ability to build a positive environmentDemonstrated aptitude in dealing with private and confidential informationProfessional, respectful, and approachable, in all interactionsInsurance experience is preferred, but not requiredExperience working within the financial services industry is an assetErie Mutual’s Dunnville head office is located southeast of Hamilton.
