Description

Duties

Build trusting relationships with families to assess their needs and develop individualized support plans

Provide guidance and resources related to parenting, education, health, and community services

Provide safe and reliable transportation for children and families to visitations, appointments, school, daycare, and other essential activities, ensuring timeliness and adherence to safety protocols.

Maintain accurate transportation logs, ensure proper use of child safety restraints, and support a positive and supportive experience during travel.

Assist families in accessing social services, healthcare, housing, and educational programs

Offer emotional support and crisis intervention when necessary

Conduct home visits to monitor progress and provide ongoing assistance

Collaborate with community organizations, schools, and healthcare providers to coordinate services

Maintain accurate records of interactions, services provided, and progress notes

Educate families on child development, positive parenting techniques,



and life skills Experience

Prior experience working with children or families is preferred but not required

Robust interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations

Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity

Experience in social work, counseling, education, or related fields is a plus but not mandatory A background check may be required to ensure safety and suitability for working with vulnerable populations This role is vital in supporting families through challenging times and fostering healthier communities.

Aid/CPR Level C certification.

Valid

Canadian full class 5 driver's license (we will not accept Novice 1 and Novice 2 candidates)

- Prefer candidates with evening availability to work on shifts from 2 pm - 7 pm
