Reporting to the Financial Services Manager, the Finance Accounting Clerk II is responsible for a variety of administrative and accounting functions including (but not limited to) providing support to the Tax & Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk and other Finance staff members.

HOURLY RATE $37.9065 to $39.8072 per hour, Pay Grade 5 – Schedule “A” Inside Employees

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

- Grade 12 Diploma or GED

- Two-year post-secondary Accounting Diploma, or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

- Two (2) years’ accounting experience, or work experience including:

Processing accounts receivable;

Processing accounts payable; and

Analyzing and reconciling accounts.

- Municipal/government experience in accounting will be considered an asset.

- Demonstrated ability to prepare and maintain accurate and complete documents, forms, and records.

- Demonstrated ability to exercise considerable tact, courtesy, and diplomacy when dealing with members of the public and staff.

- High degree of initiative and sound judgement.

- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
