About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee their vehicle fleet operations in Kimberley . This role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness of the company's transportation assets. You will manage all aspects of fleet operations, including maintenance, compliance, driver management, and cost control. This is a vital position for managing logistical resources within the Northern Cape and ensuring reliable transportation services.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the company's vehicle fleet.
- Develop and implement fleet maintenance schedules to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies related to fleet operations.
- Oversee driver recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Control fleet operating costs, including fuel, maintenance, insurance, and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet activities, including mileage, fuel consumption,



and maintenance history.
- Plan for fleet upgrades and replacements to meet operational needs in Kimberley .

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management or transportation logistics.
- Solid knowledge of vehicle maintenance, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
- Experience with fleet management software and systems.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of the transportation landscape in the Northern Cape .
