Job OverviewAgilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Cost / Schedule / Controls Engineer / Specialist III in the Oil and Gas Sector in Edmonton, Alberta.Total rewards: $96.00 hourly. 12-month contract position. 5 days on, 2 days off.ResponsibilitiesPrepare check estimates and schedules to compare with Operated by Others (OBO) operator-prepared submittals.Participate in estimate/schedule assessments, including verification of project cost and schedule bases.Contribute to Estimating Group process efficiency tools and quality assurance review process improvements.Maintain change control and cost reports.Work with project estimator, planner, scheduler, and client’s accounting staff.Coordinate and assemble monthly progress reports.Collaborate closely with the client’s project manager and team leads for regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirements.Qualifications15 years of relevant experience.Engineering degree or engineering technologist background (experience prioritized over education).Strong cost estimating experience with a background in oil & gas projects,



preferably on the owner/operator side.Deep upstream expertise; capable of working independently and mentoring junior staff across geographically dispersed teams.Significant upstream experience, particularly in Alberta oil sands, mining projects, and drilling projects.Experience with refining/downstream projects and broader exposure to upstream, midstream, and downstream.Ability to quickly adapt to existing systems and processes.Advanced proficiency in cost estimating, project planning, and project controls.Robust influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills.Negotiation and brokering skills to achieve successful solutions between internal coordination parties.Adaptability to changing priorities; strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to organize, plan, control, coordinate, and effectively manage cross-functional activities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
