What you’ll do

- Own projects from idea through production. Clarify requirements, propose an approach, break work into milestones, and drive delivery. After launch, monitor results and address issues.
- Build across the stack. Develop responsive, accessible React interfaces, Java backend services, APIs, and database functionality for shopper, associate, and retailer experiences.
- Keep production systems healthy. Investigate issues, improve performance, write meaningful automated tests, and support reliable deployments.
- Contribute to technical direction. Participate in architecture decisions and code reviews, document important decisions, and improve how the team builds and ships software.

What you’ll bring

- Experience independently delivering and maintaining full-stack applications in production.
- A record of taking ownership: identifying what needs to happen, working through ambiguity, communicating progress, and seeing projects through.
- Robust frontend development experience with React, alongside experience building backend services in Java, REST APIs, and database-backed applications.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI APIs, models, or tools into applications or workflows, with an understanding of their practical limitations.
- Regular use of AI development tools and sound judgment about when to use them,



how to validate their output, and when to investigate further.
- Experience with Git, automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and cloud environments.
- Clear communication and the ability to collaborate effectively on a remote team.

Experience with retail technology, enterprise integrations, real-time systems, or containerized applications is a plus.

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who is ready to take ownership of projects and help shape what we build. You’ll work across the stack, turning business needs into technical solutions and taking projects from early requirements through launch and ongoing improvement.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys working independently, asks thoughtful questions, and follows through. You should be comfortable making technical decisions, communicating tradeoffs, and working with product, design, and other engineers to deliver software that works reliably in real stores.
