Electrical Systems Designer - Location: Ancaster, Ontario, Canada (onsite). Salary Range: $80,000-90,000 CAD annually. Vacancy Type: Existing Position. Schedule: Full‑time. Travel: Required to Johnson Electric plants in Canada & USA.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electrical control systems for automated machinery and equipment.Create and maintain electrical schematics and documentation using EPLAN.Support PLC and HMI testing, troubleshooting, and I/O checkout.Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning activities.Troubleshoot electrical and controls systems during FAT and startup activities.Provide remote or on‑site support for equipment issues as required.Collaborate with engineering and project teams during machine development.Support continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with applicable CSA, UL, ISO, and internal standards.Perform other related duties as assigned.QualificationsPost‑secondary education in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Design, Mechatronics, or related discipline.Typically 3-6 years, or equivalent hands‑on experience designing electrical control systems for automated machinery.Demonstrated experience designing industrial electrical control systems using EPLAN or equivalent schematic software,



with the capability to adopt EPLAN rapidly and apply it effectively in live production projects.Solid understanding of CSA and UL industrial electrical standards, with full schematic ownership.Extensive daily experience using AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, and EPLAN.Ability to read and create electrical schematics and apply controls design fundamentals.Experience supporting PLC/HMI‑based systems and machine commissioning activities.Ability to work independently within a project team environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.BenefitsJohnson Electric offers competitive pay and benefits.
