Victoria Johnson Street Health Centre – Access & Community Services (VJSHC) – Victoria, BC V8W 1M8, Canada (Primary location).Shift: 08:30 – 16:30, 75 bi‑weekly hours, regular full‑time (1.0 FTE).Travel may be required between multiple sites; transportation arrangements must meet operational requirements and may require use of a personal vehicle.Salary: $56.02 – $69.98 per hour.Planned start date: June 1, 2026.As a psychologist, you will provide a range of high‑quality psychological services to a highly specialized population that includes individuals who are unhoused, experiencing mental health or substance use challenges, or have concurrent presentations such as traumatic brain injury or developmental disability. Your responsibilities will include individual and group therapy, psycho‑diagnostic and clinical assessments, and the delivery of psychotherapy using a variety of modalities in accordance with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia and Island Health policies. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, contributing to organizational and departmental objectives while adhering to safety and quality protocols.QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Training and Experience:Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Psychologist.Minimum of five (5) years of recent related experience working with adult clients in a mental health and addictions facility or a related field.Specific expertise and experience in psychological assessment with severely mentally ill or behavior‑disordered patients.Knowledge of treatment specific to crisis intervention,



urgent response, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.Valid BC driver’s licence.SKILLS AND ABILITIESCommunication:Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, the public, medical staff, and multidisciplinary teams using verbal, written, and computer‑based communication. Ability to utilize conflict resolution skills to promote collaboration and effective problem‑solving in multidisciplinary settings.Judgment:Demonstrated ability to exercise valuable professional judgment with empathy, tact, and integrity when dealing with patients and their families or caregivers.
