We are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.NOTE:6-month contract with possible extensionAbility to work all three shifts is requiredAbility work overtime including weekends and holidays when requiredRESPONSIBILITIES:Coach team members on Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met by adhering to standardized workOptimize production throughput in alignment with budget and cost objectivesSupervise skilled trade activities and assign work as requiredProvide guidance and support on breakdown activitiesCreate a conducive work environment that enables teams to complete theirassigned responsibilities and tasksEnsure effective communication and recognition within the teamPerform administration of supervisory duties and documentation as it relates to supporting the maintenance activityMonitor and create requisitions for machine parts and related equipmentSupport the ongoing PM (preventative maintenance) processREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:4+ years' experience working with and supervising unionized workforce and understanding of CBA (collective bargaining agreement)Experience in body shop, stamping, paint, subassembly,



or machining preferred.Safety and Quality experience preferredKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principlesProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)Prior experience managing a unionized workforceComputer Numerical Control (CNC) machining experience (specific to Power TakeOff)Adept problem-solving and conflict management skillsEffective organizational and administrative capabilitiesPreference given to previous experience in a trade (industrial)COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:$35.00 - $40.00 hour (depending on experience)Paid Advantages after 90 days (individual and family) - extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of workMEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
