Full time PermSalary: $130,000 – $165,000 (based on experience)Annual performance bonusRetirement savings programStrong career growth and advancement opportunitiesRole OverviewSenior Estimator with 10+ years in heavy civil construction, specializing in roads, highways, bridges, and large-scale infrastructure projects.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret and analyze tender drawings, specifications, and contract documents (including projects up to $1 B in value)Perform or oversee quantity take-offs from drawings and modelsPrepare detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractorsEvaluate and price scope changes, claims, and additional workDevelop preliminary construction schedules for field handoffPrepare bid bonds, insurance documentation, and tender submissionsLead Design-Build and complex infrastructure bids through full tender lifecycleCoordinate and chair pre-bid and strategy meetingsPresent project scope, sequencing, risks, constraints, and value engineering opportunitiesConduct bid reviews and analyze subcontractor proposalsEnsure accuracy, completeness,



and compliance of all submissionsMaintain organized tender documentation and communicationsSupport closing of competitive bids within deadlinesStakeholder Communication & Project SupportFollow up with clients on submitted proposals and bidsCollaborate with field operations and project management teamsProvide technical and cost support during construction executionMonitor active projects and support job cost tracking and reportingLeadership & DevelopmentMentor junior estimators and support team developmentContribute to improving estimating processes, tools, and standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the estimating departmentRequirements10+ years in civil/heavy civil construction (roads, highways, bridges, infrastructure)Experience with Design-Build and large infrastructure projectsStrong ability to interpret construction drawings and contract documentsProficiency with estimating software (In Eight Estimate preferred)Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skillsKnowledge of OPSS and CDED standardsExperience with MTO and/or municipal projectsStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsValid driver’s licenseAI-enabled tools may be used to sort applications based on job-related criteria.
