We've embarked on an exciting growth phase – a multi-year transformational journey to enhance our entrepreneurial, high-performing, advisor-centric culture.Position OverviewThe Financial Planner will support the Investment Advisor and will work collaboratively with internal partners to prepare comprehensive financial plans for high-net-worth clients. This role works directly with clients and their advisors to translate complex financial situations into efficient and practical action plans to meet the client's financial goals.Duties And ResponsibilitiesTo be able to prepare, understand and communicate detailed financial projections (including net worth, cash flows and income tax) and advanced planning strategies to team members, Investment Advisors and clients.This Will Include The FollowingWork directly with clients and collect the necessary information and documentation required, often in face-to-face meetingsDevelop financial projections and financial plansReview wealth plans for accuracySummarize a client's situation, analyze alternate solutions,



and communicate financial planning opportunitiesPrepare written tax and financial planning strategies and educational material within the context of the comprehensive wealth planDevelop and write client friendly education articles on timely financial planning topicsQualifications5 years of direct client work in the completion and delivery of financial plans a key assetExcellent understanding of Canadian Income Taxes and Insurance StrategiesKnowledge and familiarity with use of Financial Planning SoftwareExceptional attention to detail/accuracyExcellent analytical skills and ability to suggest alternate solutions to complex problemsStrong interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power PointStrong organizational skillsDemonstrated experience working with High-Net-Worth clients is preferredEducationUndergraduate degreeCompletion of Financial Planning designation (CFP, RFP, or PFP), or other appropriate designationDetailed knowledge of corporate and individual taxation in CanadaThe expected annualized base salary range for this role is $60,000-$90,000The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual's skill, experience, education and training, and the consideration of internal equity.Why ApplyOur firm is only as valuable as the people who work here.
