This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting experience who is highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and tech-savvy.The position will work closely with the Operations Director and the organization's CPA.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESReview and accurately categorize financial transactions, including credit cards, checks, and depositsPerform monthly bank and credit card reconciliationsMaintain accurate and organized financial records in QuickBooksPrepare financial reports and track expenses by department, program, and campaignAssist with budget-to-actual reporting and other financial analysisIdentify and investigate discrepancies and work with the Operations Director and CPA to resolve themGenerate and analyze financial and operational reports and key metricsAudit & ComplianceAssist with annual audit preparation, including preparing reports, schedules,



and supporting documentationCoordinate routine audit requests and help ensure financial records remain audit-readySystems & Process ImprovementHelp improve accounting and financial workflows through better processes, documentation, technology, and automationQUALIFICATIONS5+ years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experienceStrong understanding of accounting principles and practicesExperience with transaction coding, bank and credit card reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial recordsHigh proficiency with spreadsheetsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detailHighly organized and able to independently manage responsibilities, recurring deadlines, and follow through on tasksStrong communication skills and ability to communicate proactivelyTech-savvy and able to quickly learn new software and systemsAbility to handle sensitive financial and organizational information with discretionA sincere interest in the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad and a desire to contribute to work that helps others know, love, and follow himPREFERREDBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related fieldNonprofit accounting or nonprofit work experienceExperience with Dext or similar accounting softwareExperience creating dashboards, financial analyses, or data reportsCOMPENSATIONCompetitive salary, commensurate with experience.Bonuses may be awarded based on individual performance and organizational results.
