Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Community Programs/ Programmer, Specialty Programs, this casual position is responsible for supporting participants with physical, cognitive and/or developmental disabilities, ensuring a welcoming setting for inclusive and adapted programs, while working in accordance with the Town of Caledon guidelines, practices and procedures for Community Programs and Customer Service standards.

The Inclusion

Facilitator I would be responsible for the following duties: Prepare facilities, teaching material, lesson plans and material for participants as required. Work with the Supervisor/Programmer of Specialty Programs to complete and/or verify the accuracy of participant profiles. Perform administrative tasks (i.e., Maintain composure in escalated situations as they arise and immediately report incidents to the Coordinator/ Programmer or designate.





Perform additional duties and undertake special projects as assigned.

Experience working with individuals with special needs/disability and/or demonstrates interest in working with individuals with a special need/disability would be an asset. Additionally, certification in HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development is considered an asset. The candidates will have demonstrated ability to facilitate program delivery and have excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, organization skills with attention to detail.

These candidates will also possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position offers an hourly rate of $22.64 with up to 24 hours per week.
