Together, Prima Living and Primacorp are building a purpose-driven future where every resident feels valued, supported, and truly at home.Location:AuroraCompensation:$80,000 to $100,000 base salary + performance bonusJob Type:1 year contract (Ongoing Fulltime)Expected Start Date:As soon as possibleYour Day To DayThe General Manager’s duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:Achieve revenue and profitability target and KPIs.Resident/Guest Relations: Ensure that services provided meet or exceed customer expectations.Improve service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, compliance standards, and financial performance.Team Leadership – recruiting, coaching, mentoring and managing the facility staff.Budgeting and Financial – develop site budgets and monitor revenue and expenses, analyze and develop reports to deliver to senior management.Marketing – lead marketing campaigns to achieve sale and revenue targets.Legal Compliance – ensure H&S; standards are followed, work with various governing bodies as applicable to ensure contractual compliance.Operational – ensure the hotel runs efficiently and effectively.Assist in creating and achieving realistic and attainable operational goals and profitability objectives.Coordinate capital improvement projects to maintain or upgrade quality standards, protect property image, and to protect the asset from neglect, damage,



or deterioration.Achieve proper maintenance of the property through planned preventive maintenance programs for rooms & equipment.Other duties as assigned by management.What You Bring to the TableTo be successful in the General Manager position, an individual must have and demonstrate the following:Education And ExperienceA degree or diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality or Sales or a related field of study.Seven (7) years experience working in a Hotel, Sales or in the Hospitality industry.At least two (2) years experience as a Supervisor or Manager in a relevant industry.Skills And AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively in English, both orally and written.Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent organizational skills to plan, organize and direct the operations of the facilityAbility to multi-task, cutting-edge, creative thinker, and Customer-service oriented.Be an engaging leader who is highly inclusive, inspiring, and able to relate to all employees.Knowledge of financial management techniques and practices.Demonstrates empathy and understanding of the needs of customersAbility to build and maintain effective interpersonal and team relationshipsAbility to provide leadership, direction, support and motivationAbility to work independently with limited direction.Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods.Other RequirementsCriminal record check and vulnerable persons searchMedical clearanceOn-call availabilityMust be willing to work the hours necessary to ensure the effective operation of the facility, which may include nights and weekendsMust be prepared to respond to emergency situationsMust successfully complete a criminal background check prior to hire, including a Vulnerable Sector Screening, in accordance with applicable provincial and federal regulations.Don't hold back!
