Our client, a manufacturing company located in Vaughan is looking for a Chief Operator A to join their team.What you will do in this role:Maintain total awareness of and compliance to all safety regulatory legislation through TSSAMonitor and control refrigeration and utilities equipmentComplete all required paperwork correctly and keep accurate records in the logbookMinor troubleshooting of the ammonia refrigeration systemWork independently with minimal supervisionPerform routine checks/preventive maintenance of utility equipment including air compressors, glycol system, wastewater equipment, plant water supply and glycol chillersPerform routine checks of roof mounted HVAC units. replace filters, perform basic preventive maintenance of all roof mounted units.Arrange for any inspections/calibrations of refrigeration equipment as and when neededEnsure daily inspection of the refrigeration plant and verify that all systems are operating in a safelyPerform basic Preventative Maintenance of refrigeration and utilities equipmentAssist in breakdown and preventive maintenance of production plant equipmentAssist in maintaining refrigeration critical spare parts inventoryRespond to emergency calls during and after business hoursGuide/assist refrigeration trainees working towards Refrigeration B certificationWhat you will bring to the role:Day shiftMust possess a TSSA Refrigeration Operator - Class A certificateThree to five years’ experience as Chief Operator of a high capacity (ideally, 800 HP or more) ammonia refrigeration plant.Working knowledge of TSSA standards and Ontario regulation 219/01Flexibility to work outside of regular work hours when requiredMillwright or Electrician qualifications are highly desired, but not necessary.2+ years experience working with food or beverage manufacturing (frozen/ refrigeration)MUST be able to work in a very cold environment.What our client is offering:A competitive hourly and full medical/health benefits for the employee and their family.The chance to join a growing company with a great work setting.Pay: $43.00-$45.00 per hourBenefits:On-site parkingRRSP matchExperience:Chief Operator A: 5 years (preferred)food or beverage manufacturing (frozen/ refrigeration): 5 years (preferred)Licence/Certification:TSSA Refrigeration Operator (required)Work Location:In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
