As a keymember of our team, the Journeyman Service Technician brings to life theultimate service experience. The Service Technician performs preventativemaintenance, diagnoses faulty operations and repairs new, pre-owned andcustomer vehicles. They will identify mechanical problems using computerizedequipment and communicate effectively with advisors and management to completework orders in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

- Perform work specified on therepair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Inspect and test components andsystems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment on new,pre-owned, and customer vehicles and recording findings so that necessaryrepairs can be made.
- Diagnosing, maintaining,



andrepairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission,electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with theService Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additionalservice is needed. Providing an estimate of the time needed for additionalrepairs.
- Executing repairs under warrantyto manufacturer specifications.
- Continuously learn new technicalinformation and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stayabreast with rapidly changing technology.
- Must follow all company safetypolicies and procedures.
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

- Strong Automotive Background
- First Aid and WHMIS an asset
- Team oriented, flexible andfocused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Hold a valid driver’s license withclean abstract
- Working knowledge of shopequipment
- Must be willing to submit abackground check prior to employment
