OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Manager to join our Payroll and Employment Tax (PET) advisory team in Toronto. In this role, you will lead and manage complex Canadian payroll advisory engagements for a diverse client base. You’ll gain valuable experience across capabilities, sectors, and geographies while helping Canadian clients manage risk, identify tax‑saving opportunities, and meet payroll tax, social security, and related compliance obligations.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct Canadian payroll compliance reviews and deliver strategic payroll advisory servicesAdvise clients on payroll strategy, compliance risks, and leading practices to optimize payroll operationsSupport compliance with Canadian federal and provincial payroll legislation, and regulationsProvide guidance on payroll processes, including multi‑jurisdictional payrolls, tax calculations, deductions, perks, and statutory remittancesPrepare and review payroll tax filings, reports, and reconciliations with the CRA and other regulatory authoritiesWork with clients, HR, finance teams, and regulatory bodies to resolve payroll issues and support smooth operationsStay current with evolving payroll legislation, industry trends, and emerging technologiesManage multiple client engagements, including budgets, resources, invoicing, and collectionsAssist clients with employment tax audits and respond to payroll‑related inquiriesMentor junior colleagues on technical, payroll advisory, and performance management skills while fostering a positive team cultureSkills and Attributes for SuccessStrong knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial payroll legislation, including employment and labour standards, compliance requirements, and multi‑jurisdictional payroll processesProven experience with payroll tax filings, reporting, reconciliations,
