Duties
- Collaborate with senior estimators to gather and analyze project specifications, drawings, and bid documents.
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates using industry-standard software such as PlanSwift & SAGE.
- Help identify potential risks and opportunities to optimize project budgets and timelines.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bid proposals, and project documentation for easy access and review.
- Contribute to project management activities by tracking bid progress, updating cost databases, and supporting team communication.
Skills
- Proficiency with PlanSwift or Bluebeam for markup and document management is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of construction estimating principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with project management practices within the construction industry.
- Experience or knowledge of software for estimating purposes is a plus.
- Construction experience or background that provides insight into building processes and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy in all estimates and documentation.
