Line Cook — Panini’s Italian Cucina, Jasper Avenue

Panini’s Italian Cucina is a fast-paced Italian restaurant. We are looking for a talented individual to join our growing team.

This position is for our Jasper Avenue location at 8544 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton.

Responsibilities:

- Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Panini’s Italian Cucina.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain food preparation areas, equipment, and work surfaces to ensure safe and sanitary food handling.
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperatures.
- Check ingredients for quality and freshness, label and date products, and rotate stock.
- Follow the restaurant’s standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.




- Take responsibility for the quality of food served.
- Stock and maintain sufficient food products at line stations to support smooth service.
- Handle and store food products and supplies according to restaurant procedures.
- Prepare, season, and cook food according to recipes.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients using appropriate kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Portion, plate, and garnish dishes according to recipe and presentation standards.
- Check food for doneness using appropriate methods, including temperature checks.
- Assist with prep work during quieter periods.
- Support other cooks during busy service periods.
- Close the kitchen according to station checklists and assist teammates with closing duties.
- Coordinate with fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support productive restaurant operations.
- Assist wherever needed to maintain service and quality standards.

Compensation will be based on experience. Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
