Richardson Milling, a division of Richardson International, is the largest industrial oat miller in the world. Richardson has processing mills in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. and is proud to have the most extensive oat supply thanks to strong relationships with oat growers. We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Worker at our Barrhead, AB facility.

Responsibilities

- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance activities on equipment in milling facility
- Operate low volume boilers to generate steam for processing
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Ability to work in a grain processing environment on elevated platforms and ladders where necessary
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively and possess basic computer and problem solving skills




- Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
- Must be mechanically inclined and interested in performing basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks and comment on improvements on the facility’s needs
- Previous experience with general maintenance and with running forklifts, skid steer loaders, and front end loaders is considered an asset
