Physiocare and Rehab is a well-established multidisciplinary clinic with over 24 years of trusted service and a steady patient base. We are currently seeking a professional, motivated, and team-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our energetic healthcare team.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive experience at our clinic. We're looking for someone who is patient-focused, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a medical office is required, along with a working knowledge of extended health billing, MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) claims, WSIB, and ideally the Universal Scheduling program.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, relay messages, and follow up with patients
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Verify and process insurance information and coverage
- Process payments and submit claims (electronically and manually)
- Maintain spreadsheets and manage daily clerical duties (filing, sorting mail, etc.)
- Support administrative operations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Receptionist (preferred)
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or higher
- Strong working knowledge of insurance billing, including:
- Extended Health (EHC)
- WSIB and MVA claims
- Familiarity with Telus Health Portal, Provider Connect, Blue Cross, and Claims Exchange (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience using Universal Scheduling software (preferred)
