Medical Office Assistant

Wage: $26–$28 per hour, based on experience

West Saanich Medical Clinic, operated by the South Island Primary Care Society, is looking for an experienced, organized, and patient-focused Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our growing team.

We are seeking someone who thrives in a busy primary care environment, takes initiative, and is passionate about supporting physicians and improving access to healthcare in our community.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage patient scheduling, registration, and communications.
- Support physicians with daily clinical and administrative operations.
- Complete physician billing, submissions, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Med Access EMR.
- Coordinate referrals, incoming reports, and clinical documentation.
- Provide exceptional patient service in a quick-paced medical environment.
- Support clinic workflows and contribute to an efficient, collaborative team.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of Medical Office Assistant experience.
- Experience using Med Access EMR is required.
- Physician billing experience is required,



including familiarity with BC MSP billing processes.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy clinic.
- Professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
