We are looking for an experienced ML Engineer to join a Canadian banking project focused on building a production-grade MCP (Model Context Protocol) server.
The ideal candidate has strong Python and Machine Learning / AI experience, along with hands‑on expertise in MCP, Databricks, and Azure. Experience with AWS is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a production‑grade MCP server
- Build and integrate ML/AI capabilities using Python
- Work with Databricks for data and ML workflows
- Develop and deploy solutions within Azure
- Integrate MCP with cloud services, data sources, and external systems
- Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability of the solution
- Follow best practices for testing, deployment, and production readiness
- Collaborate closely with the client’s technical and engineering teams
Requirements
Location: Remote Anywhere
- Robust experience in Machine Learning / AI
- Hands‑on experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol)
- Experience building, integrating, or working with MCP servers
- Experience with Databricks
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Experience developing production‑grade applications and services
- Good understanding of software engineering best practices, APIs, testing, and deployment
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast‑paced environment
Would be a plus:
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with LLM / GenAI solutions
- Experience with RAG, AI agents, or LLM integrations
- Experience with cloud‑based ML platforms and infrastructure
- Experience taking AI/ML solutions from prototype to production
- Experience in banking or financial services
