You will report to the supervisor of Tailing Research and Reporting where you will provide technical oversight of geochemistry-related research including data management and analytics; design and managefieldmonitoring programs to support mine, tailings and closure plan optimizations and commitments.Job location:Calgary, Alberta*Safety sensitive position:Yes* Please note, this position will require frequent travel to the fieldKey Accountabilities:Interface and communicate with multi-discipline teams of engineers, scientists and operations teams in Mining, Bitumen Production, Environmental Operations, Regulatory, and Stakeholder Relations teamsProvide technical input for multi-disciplinary technical reports, regulatory submissions and applicationsProvide oversight and project management for tailings research and/or field monitoring studies, including scope development, resultant data management and analytics, budget and schedules. Field presence is required for this position to support all field monitoring programsProvide reviews of technical reports, plans and regulatory submissionsProvide mentorship to students and engineers-in-trainingComplete work in accordance with the established safe work practices and procedures, Horizon Health Safety, & Environment Reference Manual, Occupations Health and Safety Regulations, and other applicable regulationsWhat You Bring to the Role:Degree in Geochemistry, Biogeochemistry, Process or Chemical Engineering,
