Join Canadian Blood Services as a part-time Registered Nurse in our Donor Centre. Contribute to saving lives by ensuring safe blood collection and providing excellent donor experiences. We are seeking two dedicated Registered Nurses to join the Collections team at our new Donor Centres in Danforth and Dufferin.
In this role, you will assist with blood collection while adhering to safety protocols, ensuring detailed documentation, and enhancing donor engagement through education. Your expertise will be vital in monitoring donors and maintaining a secure environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct donor registration and eligibility screening
- Educate donors about blood donation processes
- Provide coaching to donor centre staff during events
- Perform venipuncture and monitor donor comfort
- Maintain accurate records across multiple systems Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR considered an asset
- Technical skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook
